Named after a local newspaper editor who championed for the park, this park is also known as Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park

The lighthouse at Cape Florida State Park affords a view from atop of the beach, Biscayne Bay and Miami. You can tour the lighthouse and get this birds eye view Thursdays through Mondays at 10am and 1pm. Call ahead to check space and availability for the tour.

You have plenty of options at Cape Florida State Park. Spend time on the beaches, hire a bicycle, kayak or rollerblades, go fishing and more. The choice is yours.

The park offers 2 restaurants for those who don’t wish to take a picnic. You can sample authentic Cuban cuisine or fresh seafood at either the Lighthouse Cafe or the Boaters Grill.
